|
|
Hi all,
I couldn't decide if this group or 'upgrade' was the best place
for this but it seems apropos here.
I installed BDS2006 on my very fresh Vista RC1 machine and the machine
refused to boot afterwards.
The install process complained about compatibility issues with .NET 1.1
and some of the other things included with BDS2006. I haven't messed
with Vista much before this.
Thanks,

I wouldn't expect much. Even Visual Studio has problems with Vista:
http://www.crn.com/sections/microsoft/microsoft.jhtml?articleId=193100291
"Microsoft set off a furor among developers this week when it disclosed
that Visual Studio 2005 won't be fully compatible with Vista and that
older versions of Visual Studio won't be supported at all on Vista."
If MS is having trouble, what is Borland/DevCo supposed to do?
Sorry for not helping,

Hi Jim,
Hey no sweat... It may not be entirely accurate to say that
was not helpful, really... B)
Heh, after looking around the net, I now feel lucky that I
was able to get Vista to install and be fully functional!
Thanks,
