I ran the Microsoft Vista Upgrade Advisor. It states that there are some
compatibility issues with Vista and Database Desktop. Is anyone aware of
this? Does anyone know what these issues are?
Thanks

I am hoping to be able to test this situation on Monday, but if anyone can
confirm it would be great.

There are issues with the BDE on Windows Vista (permissions for having a
file in the root directory for example)...
I'll post some details in my blog soon.

Well I use BCB6 pro with database desktop 7, and Vista (business Ultimate)
stopped it having root access. But the program ran fine after that. Just go
into the bde control panel, set configuration for net file to be in a sub
directory and it ran perfectly. |
