Is it possible to compile Indy10 for BCB5?
I was trying it but without success so far.
Before possibly wasting additional time it would be useful to know if it
is even possible. As the fullc5.bat seems to be messed up would it be
more suitable to take the fullc6.bat and modify it accordingly?

Thanks for your help.
Regards.
Frank.

I wouldn't try... At least, the version that I was trying, don't compile
corretly to bcb 6.

Have you download the last snapshot? Maybe they fixed the problems...

Bye! Smile

Indy 10 has never been tested in BCB 5, and fullc5.bat has not been
updated for Indy 10.

Is this worth a try or hopeless at all?

Yes.
Indy Snapshots are the only thing which are worth a try at all.
What problems exactly did you get with BCB6. I was under
the impression that others were using Indy10 with BCB6
successfully. I was also thinking about upgrading to BDS but
I'm not sure if Indy10 will work with it. As Indy is the most important
component for me, upgrading to BDS without Indy10 support is not of
interrest to me.

Frank.

Well, first, the snapshot that I tryed (and i tried for some weeks)
comes with a fullc6.bat that don't generated the hpp or obj files.

I tried to change the .bat with recomendations get here and there, and
was aparently succesfuly to create them...

I find the bpi files in other directories. But when I tried to compile a
program using the Indy, always get error...

Maybe was a problem with some Indy8 file that stay in my system (but I
deleted all that I could find, using recomendations on the indy site).

Anyway, I find another component to do what I was in need.

Now I'm working with winsock... Almost there ;)In near future I will try
again to use Indy. But for now, I don't have time. :)

That's it Smile
