Just a quick question: does purchase of Delphi Turbo Professional
entitle/qualify for an upgrade to say Delphi 2007 Enterprise for Windows ?

Best regards

No. CodeGear considers them to be different product lines.

So you're saying that the currently listed upgrade prices for Delphi
2007 are not applicable to Turbo upgrades ?

Will those prices be determined before the end of the CodeRage special
offer (i.e. on March 16) ?

Best regards

I've just pre-ordered, is there an actual shipping date for Delphi 2007 yet?

YEs, that is correct. The upgrade prices are for those people who have
paid the full, new user price for Delphi Pro somewhere in the past. It
isn't fair to them to allow Turbo users to upgrade at the same price,
since their entry point was significanly more than the cost of a Turbo.

offer (i.e. on March 16) ?

No, they probably won't be finalized an published by then.

The pricing of Delphi Pro products wasn't much diferent (in some cases even
lower) than current pricing of Turbo Pro products. As far as I remember
Delphi 4.0 Pro was something around 300$ and Delphi 2.0 Pro was around 190$.
Turbo Delphi Pro is 400$.

So CodeGear allows a Delphi 2.0 Pro owner (paid 190$) to upgrade to D2007
Ent. but A Turbo Pro user (paid 400$) is not allowed. Am I getting this
correctly?

By the way, are those special SKUs for Turbo Pro people available yet?

Perhaps -- I don't recall what the prices were. I don't remember them
being that low.

Yes, they are:

Quote:

HDB0007WWCS191

Delphi 2007 for Win32 Professional Upgrade from Turbo

HDE0007WWCS191

Delphi 2007 for Win32 Enterprise Upgrade from Turbo

Thanks for prompt response.

As far as I remember the company that I was working in late 90s purchased
one copy of Delphi 2.0 Pro for something around 200$.

Are all local official resellers aware of those plans? Is there a link
available for pricing info regarding those SKUs?
I could find info in some reseller sites but I couldn't find info in any
official CodeGear reseller.

Thanks

resellers out there......

WHat part of the world are you in?

Turkey.
I will check with our reseller about this SKU.

By the way, since I'm not happy with the pricing policy for European
countries I may consider buying from the US directly. Smile
