Hi,

Somebody mentioned that Delphi 2007's IDE is as fast as Delphi 7, that's
really worth upgraded to, any chance to have a Bold for Delphi 2007 as well?

I have installed the bold components for D2006 in D2007 no problems. The
BldOwn example ran first go.

I recompiled some Jedi components that were made Bold Aware and they worked
well.

Now I have to rework some of Peter's old de components and my D7 Bold
projects will be up and running in D2007.

You made them BoldAware or there are some Bold components in Jedi?

D2007 should be binary compatible with D2006, so everything should just
work. My components come with source anyway so there isn't much chance of
you having any problems.

I do have the source code and I think I only need to change the reference
from the BFD Delphi 7 references to the equivalent D2006 references. Time
is my problem at the moment.

Let me take this opertunity to thank you Peter for all the good work you
have done on Bold and the work you are doing on ECO. It has helped me
greatly in my journey into MDA.

cheers
Greg

I know the problem :-)

I've had a D2006 version for ages now, I just checked the latest version
published and see that I haven't uploaded it. I will do it now.

You're welcome. The plan is to get as many people as possible to be
competant in MDA so that the increased demand will ensure that my favourite
method of programming will be ensured for the future and I wont have to go
back to the dark past when I used to have to write SQL statements :-)

One of the goals of D2007 was to add as many fixes as possible (and support
Vista) without breaking binary compatibility. So you "shouldn't" need to
pay for upgrades from any of your 3rd party suppliers.

Thank you very much Pete. You have made the move from D7 to D2007 the
easiest upgrade I have ever done.

I fully support MDA - keep up the good work.
