I want to generate some charts, what is the good option to start.

im not quite sure what you what to do,

when i personally want to create some charts i find it very easy to do it
through database.
create a database
enter the data
then connect to the database (lets say adoconnection-table)
and then put a dbgrid and connect it to the adotable (through a datasource)

but what exactly do you want to do?
