If my recent dealings with Code Gear are to go by, then all you developers
had better not hold your breath for the next release of C++ Builder.

I placed an order (23 March 2007) for the already announced Delphi for PHP,
and the email confirmation has had me quaking in my boots

Product SKU: HDP1307WWEN180
Product Name: Delphi for PHP 2007 - ESD (Pre-Ordered)
pre-ordered release date: Sun Aug 03 11:00:00 CDT 2008
Qty Ordered: 1
Amount: £124.00

Now please look closely at the above, the pre-ordered release date for an
announced product is 17 months from now Sun Aug 03 11:00:00 CDT 2008, so
what the hell is it going to be for C++ Builder which hasn't been announced?
It would have been ridiculous if it were August 2007, but 2008?

And that is for the electronic download version, is the physical version
going to be burned on an as yet uninvented media?

Hello Mr Gates, you may have several new customers heading in your
direction.

When it comes to odd technical errors, I've got that beat. Ten years ago,
for roughly five days I had over 2.497 billion dollars in my banking
account. Turned out it was a software bug, ironically enough.

Pity that you didn't withdraw the interest.

Others reported some date in April. And M.S. answered to "27.03" that
is is "very possible". (or have I mis-read something)

It was a non-interest-bearing checking account.

The pre-ordered release date listed above is clearly a mistake. I can go
ahead and look into this for you if you wish or you can contact Customer
Service diretly (via the phone) and speak with a service rep to clarify the
date.

That's wrong. It has been RTM'd. I doubt it takes 4+ months to get the
download link setup.

I did get clarification, the date is the end of March 2007, a little easier
to swallow than august 2008!
