This server holds multiple firebird 1.5 databases, all of which have been running fine for over a year. Just the last two weeks we have been getting the following error at seemingly random intervals, a couple of times each day. C:\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_1_5\bin\fbserver.exe: terminated abnormally (4294967295) I have been looking for anything which may have changed on the server in that time and have not come up with much. Has anyone else encountered this? Any possible solutions? Thank you all in advance. -- Robin. I haven't found any reference to FB 1.5.4 or higher versions being affected. If the sources I found are correct it seems to happen when doing certain SELECT statements and concurrency of about/above 50 users , or when playing with FKs. We upgraded to the higest 1.x version we could (not ready to go to 2.x yet) and the problem continued. While testing everything under the sun I discovered one development machine connected to the server which had previously had Interbase2007 installed on it still had the GDS32 on it, and not the FireBird 1.5 one. We have purged that machine of all Interbase and firebird installs, deleted all GDS32's by hand and then re-installed firebird 1.5. It has been running for almost 24 hours now without fault. So it would appear that the newer GDS32 does not play well with FireBird 1.5. -- Robin.
