|
|
Just spent a couple of hours getting my laptop ready for vista. During the
compatibility check, the vista upgrade tells me that D7 might not work. It
also says vs 2005 might not work, and that is astonishing. Anyway, I do
most of my stuff in D7, and would be completely out of business if it didn't
work.
Anyone here know anything? I don't find any posts on the subject.

Jeremy -
MS has done some work to make Delphi 7 compatible with Vista. You can
get the update here:

If you are working on Vista, you might consider purchasing Delphi 2007,
which provides support for building applications that take advantage of
many of Vista's new features.

I am working D7 and Vista Ultimate and it works ok. The only problem is that
c:\Program Files\ is 'readonly', but I have no problems about this because I
install Delphi always at 'd:\D7\'.
