Hello,
i tried to install Delphi 2007 on P4 3Ghz Windows 2000 1GB
(HT disabled) inside a Virtual PC 2004 emulation, using 512 MB Ram
and a plain Windows 2000 installation with SP 4.
The Installion process took about an hour, with all this rebooting for
pre-requisites. The Virtual HD performance is supposed poor and standard
installion for Delphi 2007 for Win32 Professional is "fat" too, more
than 1800 MB instead of 1,5 GB what the DVD cover says. During the
install I did not touch any of this options, except disabling Delphi
calling home on the end of the installation.
Then Delphi 2007 tryied to start, but after few seconds this Message
appeared:
---------------------------
Bestätigen
---------------------------
Exception EPackageRegistrationException in Modul coreide100.bpl bei
000F23ED.
Registrierungsprozedur, Pasreg.IDERegister in Package
C:\Programme\CodeGear\RAD Studio\5.0\bin\delphide100.bpl hat die
Exception-Klasse EAccessViolation: Zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse
778CC9F1 in Modul 'ntdll.dll'. Lesen von Adresse 066E5EE5 ausgelöst.
Soll dieses IDE-Package bei der nächsten Ausführung von CodeGear Delphi
for Microsoft Windows geladen werden?
---------------------------
Ja Nein
---------------------------
Even this Confirmation Message is in German, it should give the right
person values information. After this message a unusable stripped down
Delphi 2007 started up, without the appearance of the splash screen.
A Reboot did not help either.
Please belive me using Windows 2000 professional today is not by choice,
i simply have to work with this post modern OS at work.
For me it would be nice to know, if somebody can give me a hint to
resolve this problem. At least what i should say to my boss about this.
Maybe He will be a little bit 'upset' about this situation.
regards,
Thomas |

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble. Did you accidentally
post this to the wrong group? I would suggest:
borland.public.install.delphi or borland.public.delphi.upgrade
In the meantime, try the "Repair" option from the installer.

Hello David,
yes this is the wrong newsgroup, but i will get C++ Builder 2007 for
Win32 too.
I started the installer again, and activated the "repair" option but if
i select "weiter" (move on/carry on) i get only this message
---------------------------
Ungültige Lizenzkonfigurationsdatei
---------------------------
Ungültige Lizenzkonfigurationsdatei
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
translation "Invalid licence configuration file" <OK> .
After this the the installations programm can not be closed, or better
saying it does not closing by its self. I have to use the task manager
to kill the process.
This "behavior" is the same on all option in installer. In clear words i
can not un Install or make any another changes to delphi 2007 for Win32
installations via its own setup programm ! I hope it is not a licence
issue, because to obtain this product licence number i had to call
various Borland numbers and writing even more emails. In the end, I got
the licence numbers 6 minutes before the Easter weekend started.
I hope i do not run in the same amount of problems with the following
Cpp Builder.
regards,
Thomas |
