|
|
I have recently upgraded my server to Apache 2.2.4 and find that the
so units I have generated with Delphi 7, version 5 of Intraweb, and
TeeChart Pro version 6 does not work in that environment. I do have
Delphi 2005 Enterprise but have not used it much.
What should I do? Buy a new versions of all three things? That is
rather expensive for an academic project.

The problem is that Apache SO format is incompatible among different
versions. As far as I know your modules should be recompiled using correct
units that are compatible with version 2.2.4.

That is clear. The basic question is really simple, what is the
cheapest way to solve the problem, apart from the really cheap one,
drop the new version of Apache and go back to an older one. I do not
like that one for simple security reasons.

Borland/Codegear no longer support Apache SO module. Maybe Atozed has a
solution. You may try contacting them.
It seems the easiest way for you is to go back to previous version of Apache
which was working for u. |

If I remember correctly, Dr. Bob has some updated units to fix the
apache SO support. |

Been using Apache for the last year with no problems... However, all
new/upgrades are moving to services.
