Hello,

I've just installed Delphi 2007 on a clean Windows Vista machine.
Installation went fine, at the end the installer asked if I wanted to enable
automatic updates and start Delphi 2007, I left both on.
Then I got an error about a specific bpl that could not be loaded.
The ide opens, no possibility to create a new project, I can't do anything.
So tried to uninstall the application. The installation routine crashes and
exits with every option (remove, repaire, reinstall), only the upgrade seems
to work Sad
Tried it from the menu item and from the dvd, no luck.

Can anybody give me a hint, I'm desperate. This machine is connected to a
domain and I'm installing at home now, I can't simply reinstall the machine
here at home when I'm not connected to the domain.

Thx anybody.

Dominique.

support.codegear.com - file a web case for install help, and you should
get free response from CodeGear proper.

Which BPL did it not load?

What stopped you creating a new project? Clicking on the welcome page
not working (this is a 2003 IE security issue I found)

Dominique,

You may want to take a look at: http://qc.borland.com/wc/qcmain.aspx?d=44388

Not sure 100% if this is the same issue, but it looks fairly close. It's
about privileges in Windows Vista.
