Here's a question ...

If I were to upgrade from BDS 2005 Architect to Delphi 2007 Enterprise
and purchase the software assurance, would I be eligible to receive the
next release of BDS 2007 (code named Highlander?) when it comes out ? In
other words, is Highlander considered to be in the same product line
succession as D2007 ?

Thanks in advance ...

Yes, but the question might be whether you'd get BDS 2007/Highlander
Enterprise or BDS2007/Highlander Architect. You'd best contact CodeGear
sales to double-check if you want to get ECO and whatever other goodies
they stuff in the Architect edition.

Nick Hodges, Delphi Product Manager, has said Delphi/BDS are all in the
CodeGear RAD Studio family, and Software Assurance will cover any and all
releases in the family. Delphi for PHP and the Turbos are not in the RAD
Studio family.

SA customers get all releases in the Studio line of products, whatever
form they take, for the course of the subscription.

Without committing to any future releases, the answer to your question
is "yes".

Thanks, gentlemen.
