Could anyone tell me if it is possible to write applications that will run on Windows Mobile 5.0 using BDS2006, and if so, how would I go about it?

Cheers,

David

Speaking from a position of ignorance, but making a guess...

Probably the answer is no.

AFAIK, the only target processor borland products generate code for is INTEL
x86 compatible architecture, and I believe you will find that most products
running Windows Mobile/CE/pocket-pc are not using those processors.

I was afraid that might be the case. U had hoped that something
could be done using .NET, but I'm not familiar with that.

Cheers,

David

again from ignorance...

I don't believe C++ builder currently targets .NET - only DELPHI... ???

But I don't use delphi, others will have to comment on whether all delphi
code generation is to the virtual machine or not, and as such, whether your
general idea may hold some possibility...

And for those comments, you would probably want to direct your inquiries to
the DELPHI newsgroups.

Thanks, I try that.
