Delphi 2007 disappears suddenly with no error message after installing
package. When I install a new package, Delphi 2007 seems instable and
keeps disappearing from the desktop.
I install SDAC 4.0.0.6 components, and the problem appears, but when I
install the trial version, all seems Ok. I do think that the problem is
with our Bpl directory, since I installed the trial version with the
installer, but the packages of the non trial is installed to my custom
directory.
All our packages are installed from a custom directory
(D:\dev\component\Bpl) and its seems to be the problem. Did I miss
something ? Maybe it's a windows path problem (I have Windows XP SP2) ?
Can someone help me on this one ? I need to sort this out quickly.
Thanks.

Only time I see things disapear without a barf message is when DEP
strikes - have you tried setting it to essential windows programs and
services only.
(my computer, properties, advanced, performance options, data execution
prevention)

DEP is set to Windows programs and service only since the installation
of Windows XP.
Any other suggestions ?
Thanks.
