To use the components for writing commercial applications, you require a commercial RealThinClient SDK license (please read the GPL license agreement). Sometimes I'm developing database applications with ComponentAce's AbsoluteDatabase which is fully TDataset compatible. Quote: Will the server side components run with this db? Right now, there is no AbsoluteDB ThinDAC driver. But to develop new ThinDAC server side driver will take around 1-2 hours. There are 2 options: - you can develop driver your self, using as template any of existing ThinDAC drivers. Just if you want. - I can develop basic driver. But I have no experience with Absolute DB. So, choose.
