I am looking for the best way to provide importation of as many database
format as I can for my application. I don't necessarily need to use visual
controls for those database since the data in those tables will be imported
in the format I use.

I need a solution that don't require me to include the BDE or other large
libraries in the application. It may need MSJET or something like it, but
the application should run even if it is not present on the user system.

What would be the best way to achieve this? ADO? ODBC?

Any recommended component?

P.S. I can live with a D7 only solution, but support for D3 and D7 would be
even better.
