It may well be, but before some of us commit to spending the time,
could
you at least indicate WHY you feel it's interesting, so we could decide
whether to spend the time downloading and listening???

Oh, come *on*, David! This is Donald Knuth! He practically *invented*
half the algorithms we C/C++ guys use every day! I'd think that his
pedigree alone would mandate the "interesting" tag, but I guess you don't
feel that way....
;-)

Yeah, yeah, but I've gotten jaded in my old age. <G>
I've finally matured past the point of "if someone famous says
something, I'll hang on to what they say with bated breath."
It probably has something to do with having hung around
famous/credentialed folks, and realizing that they often have nothing
more to say than the rest of us... <G>

Yeah... but... Knuth is no Hollywood celebrity without a brain. He's
famous precisely for the things he thinks.

I heard the article this morning and it was interesting.
It was a general talk on his life style and on-going obsession with his "art
of programming" volumes. He apparently has 4 more volumes to publish (I
think that was it). It was interesting to hear Knuth talk about himself and
his work.

Of course I could :-)
To me, listening to Knuth itself was interesting enough.
