I have BDS2006 Architect, and have paid the annual software assurance fee
(last year and this year). However all I have recived is Delphi 2007 for
Win 32 Enterprise edition.

Does anyone know if there will be a BDS 2007 Architect? If so, when is it
scheduled to be released?

Thanks in advance,

Yes, the codename for it is Highlander and the last known projected release date
is around Q4 of this year. The C++2007 (Cosgwell) will be next in the release
cycle followed by the next release of the BDS itself.

Thanks for the info.

It is interesting that the link to the "Product Roadmap" has now been
removed from Borland and CodeGear's web sites as I remember "Highlander" was
to be released in early 2007.

Is there a document which shows what will be in "Highlander"?

Best Regards,

I don't believe anything has been published. I'm sure, just like it was
with D2007, once CodeGear gives the ok to some of the NDA field testers, you
will start to hear what is new.

Regarding the roadmap, it has to do with the new financial laws.
Essentially, a product roadmap could be contrued as forward looking
statements. If I see that on the roadmap in 16 months, that something will
be released and I "bet the farm" on that feature, and then CodeGear doesn't
deliver, then there could be some possible ramifications because I may not
have "bet the farm" had I known CodeGear couldn't deliver. O.B. stinks.

That being said, if there is some specific roadmap issues that are critical
to you, I believe David I stated that you could contact CodeGear, get NDA'd
up and then possible get some of your questions answered.

I'm sure this isn't something that makes people happy... but then again. I
can understand the situation as well.
