I get tired of downloading 10 or 20 about box components and then
wading through, trying them all out. Is there a web site where
compenents are already reviewed?

http://www.vclcomponents.com has a rating system.
Not all components are rated yet; you are invited to rate these components.
Unfortunalty every click on vclcomponents.com pop up a new
nasty browser window.
I really hate this overusage of advertising technics.

There is a rating system of sorts at Borland's CodeCentral.
