Is there an easy way to switch between Debug and Release?
At the moment I open Project/Build configuration then I select the project
and click on "Edit...". There I can switch between Debug and Release mode.
It can't be that complicated.

I assume that you are referring to BDS 2006? When posting issues in these
newsgroups, please always specify the actual IDE version that you are using.

That is what you have to do. However, you do not have to press the
"Edit..." button. The available configurations are listed in the drop-down
list of the first dialog - the Build Configuration Manager. Simply
highlight the desired project, then choose the desired configuration from
the drop-down list, and then finally press the "Apply" button.

Does BDS has Build configurations? :-)

Still three mouse clicks. And you must select the Build configuration from
the drop down list first because if you select the project first the
selection is lost if you change the drop down list.
In other words: Maybe bcc32pch will have a one click switch.
