I have been trying the last couple of days to complete installation, and
begin use, of JBuilder 2005 Foundation.

I try to start a tutorial - No files. So I download and install the sample
files and extras.

I try to start a tutorial - Now there's information about reading
"Compiling, running, and debugging" in the documentation - No
documentation.

I try to download the documentation - I am "not allowed" to download from
there, I'm "redirected" to the correct Borland download page, and the
result of this is that I end up at the same page from which I'm "not
allowed" to download! What kind of twisted sense of humour have these
people?

Next problem is when I try to get some help for this by contacting Borland.

HA! Crap! Sorry, we can't help you without a serial number (and, of
course, without a serial number we're not going to tell you how to get
one). So I send an email to a site concerned with documentation issues
(stupid! what's this to do with documentation?) from which I get a reply
telling me that I should be emailing technical support (see above).

I actually downloaded the product a couple of weeks ago, but some time
during the day yesterday I got an email with a registration code "...
which will be loaded automatically next time you open JBuilder" (oh yeah?)

So, is it at all possible for anybody to download JBuilder documentation?
And how can I get a serial number? - I've never been offered one so far.

I'm beginning to wonder whether it's all going to be worth while if i DO
eventually get answers to these questions - Borland certainly are doing
everything within their power to AVOID answering, and with that attitude I
should probably find a company which doesn't so openly show its utter
contempt for those irritating creeps known as customers.
