Hello
I have a applet, obviously or I am a bad poster grin, and I want to
execute the main and not the start. It appears that runtime
configurations only allow you to pick the class from the package, but
not the main. I would like to eventually deploy w/jws. Is there a way
to have JB05 automatically configure the jnlp after you have created the
applet? tia.

Applets do not use the main method. public static void main(String args[])
are used by applications, not applets. Applets start with the start(),
init(), or paint() method.

If you want to make your Applet both an application and an Applet, you can
do this using the JBuilder Applet wizard. You can do so without the wizard,
but since it would seem you are new to applets, I would suggest using the
wizard to see how JB does it (note you can always copy and paste).

JNLP can use applets or applications. Make sure you understand Applet
security restrictions if you are using an applet. JNLP also enforces
sandbox rerstrictions, which may require you to code sign your JNLP app.

JB does include JNLP deployment wizards, depending upon which JB version you
have.
