I've posted this sort of thing before but really have gotten nowhere
at all. What I'd like to learn is just how to make a simple database
operate using VCL. The database itself I do know how to make but on
the form etc just how is this used so that you can add names etc to
same?

I could set up a Database with no more than 5 items in it just
to experiment if that would help but from there on what and how do I
use them. I've designed a neat little gas milieage program using Edit
boxes and labels so wondering why these too could not be used for the
parts of a database in much the same way as such were used in Visual
Basic 6? Anynone any simple idea and program to help me here?

I have C++ Builder 6 and developer studio 2006 if anyone could
point me in the right direction.

See my free tutorial on VCL Database Development using C++(Builder) at
http://www.drbob42.com/examines/examin83.htm

On page 10 I start the coverage of Data-Aware Controls (which you can
use to edit the database tables or view the query results).
