I've been getting the following errors a lot lately when I try to compile
projects in BCB6 Ent:
[Linker Error] Fatal: Error detected (LME280)
[Linker Error] Fatal: Error detected (LME348)
[Linker Warning] Failed to create state file <path>/<project name>.tds
(error code 0)
Any ideas?

Many possibilities but I suggest that you first run a Scandisk (Win98) or
Chkdsk /F (Win 2K or XP).

I've had similar errors occur when debugging in the IDE blows up, and I
restart BCB and try to recompile without realizing that the dead instance of
the BCB process is still running in the background and needs to be killed
with the task manager...
