Hi,

I have a software which is a disk space analysis and cleaning tool. I
would like to optimize this software in order to handle huge capacity
hard disks and millions of files.

This program basically scans the selected drive and puts all the
information regarding file and folder inside the TList object in a
linked list form. I use a TFoldInfo class which I created to store the
info. A Tfoldinfo object exists for each file and folder inside the
tlist in linked list form.

This program cannot handle files more than half million.

Can anybody help me out regarding this issue? How to optimize my class
in order to handle more files....upto 50 million...

Do I need to use virtual memory for this? I am using strings to store
file names and real to store sizes.

You can download the program here for your testing....http://

Your help and suggestions appreciated.

Regards & Thanks
