Anyone know how to switch Mic Boost on/off via code? Or to detect its
status?

I have been told, by a knowledgeble C++ programmer, that each sound card
is a bit different and that the SOUND CARD driver is actually what turns
off the mic boost. I.e., it's not a Windows API function. Therefore the
answer is : NO, or so I'm told.
