According to Dan's post:
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=Dan+Miser+fkCalculated+fkData&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&selm=961rbj%247481%40bornews.inprise.com&rnum=1
The fact that fkCalculated fields on a remote data module, when downloaded,
change into fkData is "as designed". To me, this looks and smells like a
bug. Does MIDAS make any other changes to my metadata that I should know
about? This problem is reproducible under Delphi 6 and Delphi 7. not tested
under D4 or D5. D3 does not transmit calculated fields at all.
The reason my RDM has calculated fields is because it is also used as a
standard DM in a two-tiered application. So in actual fact, I don't really
need to transport the calculated fields to the thin client. This begs the
question, how can I modify my provider so-as to exclude field types (kinds)
that are fkCalculated?
