The troops are paving the way as we speak.

Inappropriate and not funny. Political discussions should go to
borland.public.off-topic.

Only funny if you have a very sick sense of humor or total lack of
compassion. Think of the orphans, widows, widowers, etc. on all sides of the
conflict. Still funny?

Interesting!
My first thought was of John Kaster and his cohorts
planning to take a road show in that direction.
I think that some of you are trying to pull the
"politically correct" offence by acting offended.

BTW: If you really want to some serious discussion?
Why you didn't say anything about those 'Armas de destruccion masiva' that
didn't existed?
(except the daisy cutter...)
Why you didn't say anything about those links with terrorism in IRAK that
didn't existed?
(now with Saddam out, Al-Qaeda has much more influence in IRAK than 5
years ago)
Why you didn't say anything about the fact that US supported Al-Qaeda and
Taliban in the 80's in Afganistan?
Why you didn't say anything about the fact that US (gov, elected by their
people) supported state terrorism and corrupted govermente like Pinochet,
Saddam (http://www.wndu.com/news/032003/news_19147.php), Batista, Sha,
Videla, Noriega, etc, etc?

Yes, the world in we live, it's not near perfect...
http://www.dismalworld.com/must_see/unforgettable_photos.php
but, if you lost the sense of humour, love, compasion, you are losing your
humanity.

You know?... I have the right to not think neither feel like you.
I live outside the box!

Saludos
Sebastian

BTW2: there is a difference between those orphans, widows, widowers of each

side of the conflict, I hope you can see it.

Yes. If humour had to take such things into
consideration - there would be no such thing as humor.

I guess it is a culture thing, but I personally joke
about everything. It is also a subtle way of expressing
opinions. Like "pavning the way" may be an indirect
hint to US trying to police a wee bit too much. Then
again, it may simply have been a joke with no side intention.

Thomas

If the comment had come from inside Borland, or from a meeting organizer,
perhaps so. Only "Joe" can tell us what his intention was, but I find
that scenario much less likely.

What's next, John? Are you going to tell Joanna that she's "faking"
her offense at using coarse terms to describe parts of the male anatomy?

That also was my first impression...

Cut the guy some slack! Use of coarse and vulgar language isn't a
"politically correct" issue rather it's a civility and etiquette issue.

Don't know who to reply to, but this was a serious post which has gone
way off topic. The middle east is much larger than Iraq and developers
in Egypt, Isreal, etc might be interested in the road show and the
situation in Iraq has nothing to do with the question IMO

Well, as a Dane, I would need this for my self defence buy list in ME :
Helmet + Kevlar, Desert Eagle, Colt rifle, Ammo, HE, 2 * flashbang :-)

But I imagine it might be safer for US persons in the middle
east, I dunno. Anyways, if so, I suppose Borland / DevCo
should try enter and get good marketshare there as well...
