Hi group.

I am looking for a way to play MIDI files from within a resource, using
WinAPI. Is there a way to do this? I tried sndPlaySound() and
PlaySound() but then found out that those do not work for MIDI files.

Basically, I need to load a MIDI from the resource file and play it
from memory. I prefer to not write it to the disk if at all possible.

I've searched and searched on this one, but can't find anything
informative enough to help me get going in the right direction which
does not involve a component. If I am stuck with using components, I
guess I am stuck. BUT, ultimately, I would prefer API calls if I can
get my hands on them.

Thanks for any and all help on this. I am using D5 on Windows XP.

Hoi Ryan

You need to repost your question on the Borland news server to make
everybody see it and possibly answer your question. Further, this newsgroup
do not officially exist, use newsgroup b.p.d.nativeapi.win32.
