|
|
I received Delphi 2005 this morning, and I installed it as an
administrator. I then logged in as my normal power-user account and ran
it. After I entered my serial number and authorization key, I was
presented with a screen asking me to read and accept the terms of the
license agreement. The problem is that there is no text in the control
that is supposed to contain the license.
(Incidentally, when you prompt for the serial number and authorization
key, it would have been nice if you'd mentioned that they're
case-sensitive.)

I had additional problems after I accepted the blank license. Delphi was
trying to load lots of packages and assemblies that didn't exist. It
turns out that this was caused by an incomplete uninstall of the trial
version. My user account's registry still contained everything from the
architect trial edition, including the path the bds.exe, which was no
longer accurate. I closed Delphi, deleted the old registry key, and
started Delphi again. Everything worked properly after that.
