This was posted in non-technical group,
but I was advised that I may have better
luck here. So, here is my (re)post.

My shareit.com purchase of $2171
was just approved by management.

While waiting for delivery I'm wondering
if I could make better selection for that
budget? I only have day or two for research,
and no real previous experience in 3rd party
market.

Here is some additional info.

I don't own any commercial 3rd
party component. Till now I used
only Borland provided components,
and non visual free code.

In my production environment,
I have Oracle 8, SQL Server 2000
and Firebird 1.5 databases.

I need some boost in look of my apps,
but with components compatible to
standard ones.

While at it, I ordered some IDE
enhancements and other programming
tools.

My budget was $2200.
Only stuff available from shareit.com is considered.

So, here is my list: (prices in euros)

ModelMaker Tools Code Explorer 99
ModelMaker Tools UML Explorer 99
ModelMaker Tools Str Diff Viewer 29

Peganza Pascal Analyzer 121

Upscene DB WorkBench - All modules 529

Two Desk Castalia Universal 150

TMS Component Pack Pro 145
TMS Skin Factory 50
TMS Plug-in Framework 75
Adrian Galero FlexCel 75

wpCubed wPDF standard 215

Mathias Rauen madCollection 131

Total purchase 1718

So, what did I miss?
Is there any great tool or component
that I missed, and can replace fit in
the budget in place of worse equivalent
I ordered?

What kind of App are you planning to write?

Znaci, dobro sam skuzil. Jesmo iz istoga kraja Surprised)

Pa ... nije da se mogu pohvaliti, ali nije niti za plakati. Proda se
tu-i-tam neki paketic. No, to je tek pocetak. Ja vjerujem da bude bolje
iduce godine, dok ja to jos malo usavrsim i dok bude pravi "tanki client".
Za sad kupuju samo ljudi koji trebaju neku jeftinuzamjenu za IntraWeb ili
RemObjects.

You forgot Raize Components. Can't go without Raize if you are serious about
UI in Delphi.

TMS Skin Factory 50

I would change this to VCLSkin component it is the most well spoken
skinning component and it doesn't require any other third party
controls to do the skinning.

Also I do recomend raize component suite for a GUI change that can't go
wrong and the Developer Express grid suite or tree list suite for a
data aware suite that has more than you will ever need.

Yannis.

For electronic document creation (PDF, HTML, RTF...), report export and PDF
manipulation, view, print and eForms processing, you would want to look at:
