|

Hello
I'm beginner in databases and that's why my question should be easy...
How can I connect with my database (MySQL on the Linux Serwer) through
the internet ?
I'm going to use Delphi 6 and ZEOS component for connecting with a
database.
Through a LAN it's easy - there's necessery login,password,port and
server's local ip
address on which MySQL works and it's seen by the other computer in LAN
network...
I think that through the net it's similiar way to receive connect but I
can't tested it at
the moment and that's way I'm asking...
I have my own domain (dyndns) and it seems to me that giving domain
name instead of server's local ip server will do and it'll be possible
to connect by using internet... Am I right ? Thanks for any comments.

Hoi Peter
You need to repost your question on the Borland news server to make
everybody see it and possibly answer your question. Further, this news
group do not officially exist, the group to use is b.p.d.database.general.
How to post to Delphi newsgroups:
