Hi,
We recently start to migrate our paradox database to MySQL. We found
out that using TTable (or TwwTTable from InforPower) to connect to MySQL
(through ODBC) is painfully slow at start up when the data file is large
(70,000 records or more). We than use LIMIT to retrieve say 20 records at a
time for browsing using DbGrid. It work much faster except we lose the
continue scrolling feature we use to have and we are unable to use locate
field value on the entire data file (e.g InfoPower Locate or Search dialog)
because the dataset we retrieved is only 20 records. We have try Zeos but
not very successful too. Is there are better way to do the connection, or
perhaps the ODBC API functions could help, if so how to call such API in
Delphi5.
Any help would be appreciated...
Jonathan
