There are no transparent areas in that picture. What exactly are you

When you look at the picture, the main picture itself.
It looks like a picture that was somehow faded, instead
of it having the sharp graphics, they faded the picture
somehow. This way the picture itslf does not take focus
away from whats in the foreground.
If I could figure out what that's called, I can look for something
that does that too. I need to do that same thing to some pics that
I need to use. I used something like this years ago, but for the
life of me I don't remember what it was.

You need to be more specific. There is only 1 picture at that URL. What
SPECIFIC AREA of the picture are you referring to?

Are you referring to the blue-ish background area of the picture? That is
not transparency. If anything, it is either alpha-blending or translucency.
