I thought the Borland News Server was offline last night. Web access to the news server is truly awful right now. What's causing the problem and when will it go away?

Borland is working on fixing the problems which were causing huge
numbers of posts to simply disappear from the server. Things will be
slow for a little bit, but faster and more stable in the long run. I
don't have any official estimate of how long the work will take.

I haven't been able to connect (using dial-up + outlook express) to
the newsserver at all for the past two days.
Wishing a speedy [no pun intended, really] recovery..
