Borland is not on the list of sponsors nor exhibitors at the upcoming LinuxWorld
Expo Aug 3-5 at the Moscone Center, San Francisco, CA. At least that's what my
mailed-in brochure says. Not even there to display Kylix so that Delphi may have
added some life too? Ironically Microsoft will be there as always.

The light.
Preachers to convert the infidels, and the inquisition
to punish the sinners (which is probably why Borland
doesn't go).

Well, according to Danny, Kylix is still on the roadmap:

If that's the case, then Borland's marketting still sucks.

So, what would they show? "We won't touch Kylix in 2004 but hey, it's still
in the roadmap"?

Again, or are you talking about when MS settled for stealing employees and
IP infringements a few years ago?

I don't see a contradicting opinion in what Jeff wrote. Currently, Kylix
is on hold, and Danny says it is on the 3 year roadmap. All we know is
that there will be no new Kylix *this* year.

I'd say that Danny knows more about what he is going to work on than
Jeff (No offense, Jeff!).

I only said it is in limbo and the only official word at this time is that there
will be no updates in 2004 and that they will re evaluate the market at the end
of the year. I was responding to someone who incorrectly stated it was dead
which is not correct and Danny's statement backs up what I said (at the time I
said it Danny had not made his comment that it is somewhere on the 3 year road
map, but I was stating his opinion was contratdicted by the facts).
