I have an annoying "seemingly random" problem with the object inspector in
BDS 2006, and I'm wondering if I'm alone..

I select an item on a form, and go to change a property via the object
inspector (OI). But, as soon as I click on the property that I want to
change (or anywhere in the OI) it 'blanks' and shows either the 'properties'
of the cpp file, or absolutely nothing. I reselect the component, and the
OI again shows me all the properties. Click on a property, the OI again
blanks.

This cycle continues until I either lose patience and restart the IDE, or
perform some other set of actions which I can't easily determine, involving
selecting other edit windows and/or switching back and forth from code to
design.

It's not repeatable to order, but it happens many times a day. I have a
bunch of 3rd party components, and GExperts installed.

I haven't experienced that lovely yet but I don't doubt its possiblity.
What other forms do you have docked near/with the OI? It might help to post
a screen shot to "attachments".

I have a twin monitor layout, and use the 'docked' form designer. Mon #1
has main edit window, + component palette
Mon#2 has OI, Proj. Mgr, and Structure pane : these are undocked from the
IDE, and then docked to each other giving three columns. I'll post a screen
capture shortly.
