Hello,
I use and create dbase files in my application, but another application
(that I would use)asks that my dbases files be connected with ODBC and then
it will be able to open my DBase files.
But I don't understand what is the component I must use and at running time
what must I do to connect my dbase files
Could you help me please it asks only to connect, but I don't know do it.
Thank you in advance
Patrick

I never used bBASE (*.DBF) with ODBC, but it should
work like any other ODBC database (that's why ODBC
exists in the first place)

First you have to make an ALIAS (Data Source Name) at
ControlPanel / AdministrativeTools / Data Sources (ODBC)

Chose: System DSN tab /Add / Microsoft dBase driver ...

DataSource name: SOMESHORTNAME
Uncheck 'Use current directory' if you want to
Browse for the DBF otherwise

Then use your ALIAS (SOMESHORTNAME) in the
appropriate properties of your TADOTAble/TADOConnection
etc...
