|
|
Yesterday, I wrote to Clientservices (AT) devexpress (DOT) com.
| Quote: | I originally bought CodeRush 5 from marc Miller (Eagle Software) and
upgraded later at DevExpress to CodeRush 3-7.
(Invoice Number: XXXX Date of Invoice: 6/12/2003)
Because I do not use Delphi 5-7 anymore (BDS2006 instead...), I would like
to resell my CodeRush for Delphi and therefor need to transfer the license
to the buyer.
Please, how can this transfer of the license be done and what is necessary?
Thanks in advance and best regards...

Today I got the answer, that reselling in such manner would be against End
User License Agreement!
The CodeRush License says instead:
"You may transfer the entire CodeRush package, including all written
documentation, to a third party who agrees to the terms and conditions of
this license agreement, provided you retain no copies of CodeRush or its
documentation."
I wrote them again and pointed to the above CodeRush Statement....
I'm very astonished about such manner of so called ClientService.
Is this a unique case or are here similar experiences out here with
Developer Express?
Regards
