Hi Sathish,

You could be having a problem with Norton Antivirus running. Try this :

Locate your Antivirus folder, say "C:PROGRAM FILESNORTON AV".
Start a command window . Change directory to the above folder.
Type in regsrv32 /U officeav.dll.

Try your application now and check if it works.

This is a known Microsoft bug and is listed in the KB.

Best Regards
Kashi

Hi,

The requirement for my application is to show a spreadsheet and to copy
data
from another Instance of Excel to my application and Viceversa..
For this, I am using TOleContainer to show an Excelsheet.
When I try to open another instance of excel, I get an error message 'The
message filter indicates that the Application is Busy'.

I am Closing the OleContainer during application deactivate and calling
DoVerb(ovPrimary) during application activate.
Can anyone suggest me how to proceed.? Is there any sample code available
for this? Is there any other third party component which can be used?

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,
Sathish

Hi Kashi,

Thanks for the reply.
But now we have selected another control instead of this olecontainer.
