|

Hi,
I would like to track the OnClick event in a TMonthCalendar only, if a
day is clicked and not the arrows, month or year at the top.
Why is it not possible to type in a year in the year field ?
Why can't I navigate with the arrow keys ?
Perhaps, there is a better control for a calender than from ComCtrl.
Any suggestions? I prefere just this control, not another huge
thirdparty package with hundreds of controls and features, even if it
is free.

Can you use the TDateTimePicker instead? This doesn't have some of the
limitations of the TMonthCalendar.

Yes, but I have an own descendant of TCustomEdit to edit a date with
certain other behaviour I would like to keep. And I have the lookup
functionality there. So a better calendar control would be perfect.

How about TCalendar? You've got the source code for that so you could add
those keypress event you're looking for if not there.
P.S. yes, there are tons of freeware calendars similar to that. They all
have different features so maybe you'll be looking for a long time for the
one with exact features you need. I use the one with TMS suite and it's got
all the bells and whistles, so no problem. I would tweak the TCalendar if I
just needed some simple improvements.
