Just how absurd is this "open letter" madness going to get?

I mean, come on: this letter is by most accounts about 8 months overdue.
And it's just a *letter*, a relatively simple statement of Borland's plans
for the C++ product line. The fact that so much confusion, obfuscation,
and outright mendacity on Borland's part have surrounded this letter should
speak volumes.

We were supposed to get the fabled open letter this week. Then we weren't.
Then maybe we were. But maybe not. We shouldn't hold Borland or its
employees to anything they say because, well, just because. But big things
are in the offing! Important things! But we can't tell you what, or when.
Wait for the letter. Which is coming...some day. Or not.

Sheesh.
