Hi,
I thought that paradox lck files would only be created in the folder where
the table is, so why on occasion when one of our customers is running our
application do they sometimes get lck files in there windows folder.
Any help????

The BDE creates the *.lck files (1) in the data directory, and
(2) in the "private" directory, which can be specified by the
application setting a value for Session.PrivateDir. Without
Session.PrivateDir being defined, AFAIK the *.lck files will
be created in whatever Windows considers to be the active
directory -- most often the directory the executable is in,
but not necessarily.

Also note that I have seen files with a .LCK extension that were not
created by the BDE. The files in your Windows directory may have been
created by another program. The BDE files will always be named
PDOXUSRS.LCK and PARADOX.LCK.
