Any help???? The BDE creates the *.lck files (1) in the data directory, and (2) in the "private" directory, which can be specified by the application setting a value for Session.PrivateDir. Without Session.PrivateDir being defined, AFAIK the *.lck files will be created in whatever Windows considers to be the active directory -- most often the directory the executable is in, but not necessarily. The files in your Windows directory may have been created by another program.
