KPZip strikes again

It would be interesting to look at the 'sliding window' algorithms

The sliding window algorithms?

When you find the differences between two files you have to take a
chunk from one file and see whether it turns up in the other file

- hence 'sliding window'

This sort of stuff is used in version control systems

It is something I've never done, but thought about quite a lot
- just from curiousity,
if I had an urgent need I would have it nailed down
