|
|
Hi yall,
I just wanted to confirm my fears regarding JDBCombobox and to see if
there is a better way of implementing the JDBCombobox.
I currently have users select a "PersonName" from a DropDown box
(jdbCombobox)
I created the combobox and specified the dataset name and the column
name. In my opinion this should be enough to display the information.
But I find out that we have to specify a pick list with the column name
(of the jdbcombobox) of the dataset. This requires yet another
dataset pointing to the "same" table that will pull the records again!
This seem redundant and causes a circular reference in lots of
instances that I came across.
Am i understanding this correctly?
Is there a better to implement or a way around it where we can only use
1 DataSet?
TIA
