Hi All,

I am using Delphi 2006, database is Oracle, and for database connectivity i am using BDE connectivity. I would like to know how to connect to the Oracle database using BDE through Citrix. I never used Citrix and don't know what is Citrix. I will not be able to connect to the database server directly but i can connect to the database through Citrix. Can anybody help me and please give me how to give the connection in BDE Administrator. I belive i have to give alias name, after creation of alias name in the right panel what should i fill? How to set path to oracle database? How delphi identify this connectivity and the database? Please please please help me its very urgent...

Thanks in advance,
regards,
Dweep

For an Oracle alias, the SERVER NAME and USER NAME parameters are the only
ones that need to be set. In some instances, the PATH parameter may also
need to be set.

Citrix is a Terminal Server.

A Machine running Citrix allows multiple remote (Internet, WAN) or Local
(LAN) users to log on to a Central computer and start a Thin Client GUI
Session. If you have ever used MS remote desktop it is basically the same
thing. It allows your application to run on one computer and be accesed by
many at the same time, each with thier own "desktop" running your
application.

Hope this helps
