Is it safe to assume that an Active X control (a BCB app similar to a Java
based calculator) can be embedded and used by visitors to my page?

Thank you

Asuming by "page", you mean a web page, then you have to create an
ActiveForm in order for it to be displayed visually on a webpage.

Hi, I had looked at Java but I felt that it would be a pain to figure out
all of the classes. Since I am already familiar with and enjoy using the
VCL components, it would be nice to know if an Active X solution would be a
good route.

Please see my earlier response. Use an ActiveForm (File | New |
ActiveX | Active Form).

I don't off the top of my head see why you couldn't embed a BCB-made

ActiveX into a webpage, but it would have to be packaged as a
self-contained entity.
