|

Hi!
I've written server and client applications using Indy TCPServer nad
TCPClient. I've used 4 server application and one client application and
I've communicated client application with server applications on port 31500.
Sometimes I had problems to start communication and I had to restart machine
with server application... When I've changed port on 3 servers for: 31501,
31502, 31503 and left 1 server on 31500 port I had only sometimes problems
with this one server (on 31500 port).
I don't know... maybe port 31500 is already used... Do you know something
about it?
Thanks for helps,
A.Czarnik

Hi,
Actually port 31500 is not officially assigned, but that does not mean that
another app you have on the server does not use it. Have a look at
http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers
for the official list of used ports, and try another one of the unassigned
or use one of the dynamic/private ports (49152 to 65535). If you want to use
a port under 49152 please be aware that you should register it as the port
for your app. You can see the details on the web page.
Best regards
