Hi,

I have a bunch of reports on quickreports (D6), so eventually there's
the need to move to either D2005 or D2006. Since I'm not sure I need a
more complex (and expensive) reporting tool, I'd like to use the one
included with Delphi, but since Crystal was used in D2005 and now Rave
is apparently included in D2006 then I would be faced with the same dilemma.

Since I don't really have the need for complex reports I still have to
decide whether updating to QRep PRO (avoiding the migration to another
reporting tool), or give it a try to Rave or Crystal (which I used eons
ago).

Any comments are welcome.

Dear Moises Lopez!

I can recommend other solution.
It does not depend on completeness of new Delphi version and now supports
the maximal number of development environments.
It is FastReport.

Moises,

beside the other possibilites in this thread, look into Rave BE 6.5 or BEX 7
(available soon) with Delphi 2006, too

more information you'll found on the www.nevrona.com/rave page.

Rave not seem to work with with vcl.net in delphi 2006.My questions on

Rave for vcl.net have not been answered at all.
There are a number of ComponentOne reporting components includedwith
Delphi 2006.They work fine & are royalty free. They work with winforms &
asp.net.
There is a report designer that comes with it.The onlything is that you
have to download adodb.dll & regisater in the GAC.
All components do not get installedby default. You may have to install
them manually.
A leaflet was also distibuted in the Delphi 2006 box. Please look at it
for the list of components

Sorry for the delay, I finally got a good copy and have installed BDS 2006 with update 1. I think I answered your questions out on the dotnet forum. If I missed one, please let me know.
